Investigational Cellular Immunotherapy
Innocell™ — Autologous Therapy for Solid Tumor Cancers
We believe a patient’s own tumor cells can teach the immune system to recognize cancer. Innocell™ is designed to work with the body’s natural defenses — treatment made from the patient, for the patient.
Innocell™ is investigational and has not been approved by the FDA for any use.

The Mechanism
Riboflavin and UV Light — Inactivation Without Destruction
Innocell™ uses riboflavin (vitamin B2) and ultraviolet light to inactivate a patient’s own tumor cells. The process stops the cells from replicating while preserving the proteins and antigens the immune system needs to learn from. We believe this approach may help the immune system recognize and respond to cancer.
Platform Heritage
A Technology Proven in Blood Safety, Now Applied to Cancer
The photochemical inactivation platform underlying Innocell™ was originally developed to reduce pathogens in blood products. That technology is used globally today. PhotonPharma is applying this established science to a new challenge: solid tumor cancers.
Collaboration
Developed in Partnership with Terumo Blood and Cell Technologies
In 2021, PhotonPharma and Terumo Blood and Cell Technologies announced a collaboration to develop a novel cancer immunotherapy. Terumo’s expertise in cell processing and our photochemical platform are the foundation of Innocell™.
About PhotonPharma
Science Rooted in Decades of Medical Research
PhotonPharma Inc. is headquartered in Fort Collins, Colorado. We are applying a photochemical platform with a long record in blood safety to one of medicine’s hardest problems: solid tumor cancers. Our work is grounded in published science and conducted with the rigor that patients and families deserve.
Raymond Goodrich, Ph.D.
Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Goodrich brings 37 years of experience in medical research, vaccine production, and pathogen-reduction technologies. His foundational work on photochemical inactivation — now used globally in blood safety — is the scientific basis for Innocell™.
Phase 1 Clinical Study
Recruiting Patients with Recurrent Epithelial Ovarian Cancer
A Phase 1 clinical trial of Innocell™ is currently underway, assessing safety and immunogenicity in patients with recurrent epithelial ovarian cancer.
Innocell™ is investigational and has not been approved by the FDA for any use.
